I act. I sing. I write. I make merry. I over use the words awesome and amazing. I once dropped a puppy on my face and have a tiny scar to prove it. In 8th grade I won the award for Best Effort in Spanish, however I ended up taking French in high school and college.
As a pop music enthusiast, my happy place is in the middle of a live concert surrounded by thousands of my very best friends belting out tunes and dancing my butt off.
As an actor and collaborator, I like telling stories full of both comedy and heart. My favorite tales to tell are the ones that make you laugh one second and have you tearing up the next, pieces that people can connect with and relate to. To me, connection is the most important aspect of art.
I've come to love creating my own work and bringing other new works to life. Once a month, I get to play with some of the most talented, giving actors and writers I've ever come across at Project Theatre's Our Bar. I've also had the pleasure of being a company member of the delightfully creepy audio drama theatre company, Fireside Mystery Theatre.
Disappointed by the small number of strong female roles, especially for character actresses, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create my own. Continuously surrounded by incredibly talented friends in all aspects of the industry, I also wanted give them the opportunity to shine. I am currently working on a few new projects that do so and eventually I would love to own a production company utilizing woman in every position to make our voices heard. And make people laugh. And cry a little too. :)
